This project centered on a floating white oak staircase that needed to feel substantial up close but still keep the entry open and light. The pale oak tone softens the black steel structure and gives the entire space a cleaner, calmer first impression.

Each tread was fit for tight alignment, consistent spacing, and a quiet feel underfoot. Details like the nosing profile, grain direction, and transition into the surrounding floor are what make the staircase read as part of the home instead of a separate feature dropped into it.
